The Mill which ground out Silver Coins

I met this tale at Ljungby International Storytelling Festival in Sweden. It was in a wonderful book of folk tales which had been collected in that area in the early 19th century. The book, only in Swedish or in a German translation, is The Magic Pisspot, the tales as told by the author and storyteller Per Gustavsson.

The recording was made at one of my favourite gigs, the annual performance at the Brüder-Grimm Märchenfestspiele in Hanau, the town of their birth.
