The boys who wouldn't listen

Last night Vivek, a friend from Kerala, came to dinner (together with my wife we cooked a wonderful Thalassery chicken biryani). Afterwards he asked for a story - not only for himself but also for some children back home.
I told the frame story from The Panchatantra and The Leopard-Eating Dog (aka. The Goat and the Lion).
