Master of All Masters

A delightful, nonsense tale from England

If you want to download one, I can arrange that. Just send me a mail telling me which story you’d like, and your reason for wanting a download.

The story seems to go back a long way. Some suggest that it may have derived from poking fun at the pretentious use of Latin in past centuries. No matter the origins, there is still enough pretention around today for us to enjoy it being deflated.
The audience at my annual performance in halbNeun Theater, clearly knew that I have spent over 30 years as an English teacher!

This was the first time I had ever told the tale, as you can see from one or two minor slips (e.g. what exactly is his name for the house?). However, I am happy to post this recording to show that storytelling is above all a live performance, and being word-perfect is not the principal aim.
